The Downtown Athens Development Authority is launching an “Eat & Drink Downtown” initiative to encourage Athens area residents to patronize downtown bars and restaurants. Those who spend $100 or more in a downtown bar or restaurant will receive a $25 downtown Athens gift certificate, redeemable at downtown businesses. The program will run from March 1 – April 30, 2023, or until we deplete the funding for the program.
There is a simple form to submit receipts from downtown bars or restaurants, and the gift card is sent to you digitally via email or text.
As David Lynn, ADDA Executive Director for Development and Outreach explained, “The ADDA wants to reward downtown visitors for visiting and supporting the lively restaurant and bar scene and increase awareness of the newly renovated downtown district.” Every dollar we invest in this program will multiply the benefits for downtown shop owners.”
