ACC-PD Vendors’ Meeting on Responsible Alcohol Sales and Service

Join ACC-PD Chief R. Scott Freeman, Ph.D., and the Council on Alcohol and Drugs at a special meeting on safe and responsible alcohol sales and service. This two-hour course will include tips from the UGA PD on recognizing fake IDs. Other topics include civil liabilities issues, alcohol license laws, and the community health risk assessment being conducted in downtown Athens.

On Friday, July 1, Athens Downtown Development Authority will host the Downtown Fireworks Spectacular. Tree Removal Downtown

Athens-Clarke County Central Services will be removing some trees in the downtown area due to damage and/or disease. A schedule for the removal of these trees is not currently available, but Central Services will post a sign on trees designated for removal several days in advance.

Check out our new office space! ADDA moved to The GameDay Building at 250 West Broad Street, near Pulaski, this spring. This is where the public monthly board meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month from 3-5. These meetings are open to the public.
